Chapters 27, 28 & 29 (The End) of Suspicions in Scarlet Repose Posted.
Previously in Suspicions In Scarlet Repose, Heather and Treyscott tried to find a way to make peace with each other, Dorian defended her actions concerning Carl Shuttlesworth and, finally, Treyscott, RJ, Blair, Toni and Todd began to share information and put the pieces of the Carmen puzzle together. Is the answer to who killed Carmen and why finally in their grasp? It seems so as all is revealed and this latest T&B journey draws to a close.

Chapters 25 & 26 of Suspicions in Scarlet Repose Posted.
Previously in Suspicions In Scarlet Repose, Heather was overwhelmed when family secrets spilled out. Her father had lied to her for twenty years, her mother had lied about the extent of her family and everyone was setup for the big reveal. Now the question is whether Heather can deal with these new developments? In the meanwhile, Dorian is trying to put out fires of her own making. Will anyone come out of this without first degree burns?

Yes it has been over two years since I updated this story! What can I say other than I simply cannot predict what my muse is going to do. She reappeared suddenly after two years and wanted to finish this story. So here it is. The last three chapters will be posted next week. Chapter 24 of Suspicions in Scarlet Repose Posted.
Previously in Suspicions In Scarlet Repose, Treyscott's arrest continued to create a ripple effect. Dorian took matters into her own hands and Carl was surprised by his reaction. Robyn called Carl with surprising news and Asa let Todd know in no uncertain terms that he expected to get The Tornadoes. Blair worried about RJ and Toni. Now the question is whether Heather can finally feel as if the ground is solid under her feet now that Treyscott is out of her life. Can she make plans for Pumpkin and just move on? Will Treyscott play by the rules?

Previously in Suspicions In Scarlet Repose, Blair tried to talk some sense into Toni, Todd pointed out the obvious implication of Treyscott's arrest to Asa, and Heather heard from Robyn. Has Todd finally saved The Tornadoes? Can Heather finally breathe easier now that her sister is back in the picture? What is Carl going to say about this latest development and what in the world does Dorian have to do with any of this?

Chapter 22 of Suspicions in Scarlet Repose Posted.
Previously in Suspicions In Scarlet Repose, Heather found a shoulder to lean on and a sympathetic ear as she awaited the news she knew would rock her world even while she knew it shouldn't. The imminent arrest of the new suspect not only affects Heather but also Todd and Blair. Todd sees the implications even if Asa doesn't and Blair tries to get Toni to put things in perspective. Is the mystery finally solved but at a steep price?

Chapter 21 of Suspicions in Scarlet Repose Posted.
Previously in Suspicions In Scarlet Repose, Toni learned what RJ had been hiding and the results were devastating to him. Blair was shaken by the swift change in plans wrought by the seeds sown by suspicion and asked herself a tough question. Blair, Todd, RJ and Toni, however, are not the only ones affected by the puzzle pieces about Carmen's murder cobbled together with clues from Louisiana and Creedyville. Heather is in the direct line of fire when the suspicions become public knowledge. Will she have the strength to cope when the "truth" hits the fan?

Chapter 17 of Suspicions in Scarlet Repose Posted.
Previously in Suspicions in Scarlet Repose, Blair became increasingly concerned about Kelly's involvement with the very married Albert Wright but those concerns had to take a decidedly second place to her determination to find out who killed Carmen. Todd and RJ got Blair and Toni to agree to stay out of the investigation but they only paid lip service to the demand. Blair and Toni sought out a professional for advice and then set out to find some answers about Carmen in a familiar place. In the meanwhile, Todd and RJ flew south. What secrets are lurking in Carmen's past? Can Todd and/or Blair find the key?

Suspicions in Scarlet Repose Updated!
I am aggressively ignoring the horribly destructive "He Said, She Said T&B Rape" storyline currently playing out on OLTL. I have tried to think of anything Josh Griffith and Michael Malone could have done to T&B that would be more destructive than this storyline. Can't come up with anything. The weird thing though is that as my horror over what was happening onscreen increased I found myself drawn back to my T&B fan fiction. I guess I needed the comfort of my version of T&B to remind myself that there was another route that Griffith & Malone could have chosen to take and didn't. For whatever reason I've updated Suspicions in Scarlet Repose.
I have posted one new chapter (Chapter 15) but also revised the original ten chapters and extended them to 14 chapters, rearranged some scenes, and added a new scene to what was previously Chapter 10 and is now Chapter 14.

Good News and Bad News
The good news is that I am once again trying to wrestle my T&B muse back into the room. She is ornery and resistant as hell but at least her foot is in the door. As a result, I am revising Suspicions In Scarlet Repose. I've enjoyed a really nice respite spent writing MARCAL fan fiction (I LOVE them! I do. I do. I just finished a second story, The Azure Maze. If you're interested in reading it, click the link for The Diner of Love on the Links page) but some people, who will remain nameless, have been on my back about Suspicions, relentlessly. So I'm trying, okay?
The bad news is that there are still no new chapters. So this update is really just an announcement of "intentions" (shaky though they may be). Sorry. But I am revising the chapters (only chapter 1 so far) and I hope that the process will jumpstart my muse and new chapters will flow soon.
And my muse has been watching the show and is currently in lust with Walker! TSJ is truly hot! There is a rumor (if you don't want to know...STOP reading now)

that Walker is actually Todd. Fine with me. It is also truly fine with me if he is just Walker. In either case, RH is happily ensconced over at ATWT and my muse is already sniffing the flowers and bounding shamelessly in the field of WILD flowers that may be Walker (NuTodd) & Blair.... Hate to admit it but if Walker is Todd, I'll erase the T&B "death notice" on the main page and keep right on stepping.
I have made one change in The Color of Love Series. I've changed the name of the character Liz Reynolds to Toni Reynolds. This way it is really clear that the character is not the character that appeared on OLTL. And I rethought the addition of the left border. I've added it only to the main page of each story and removed it from the other pages. I've tweaked the colors on a few pages and I guess that's about it!

A Few Cosmetic Changes
I've made a few cosmetic changes to the site this week but I haven't added any new content. I just felt a need to change things a bit to mark what is essentially the end of T&B as I have known and loved them. I have no plans to stop writing T&B fan fiction but things have changed on OLTL and changing the site a bit gave me a way to acknowledge the ending of an era. Primarily, I changed the background colors on the opening page and main fan fiction page as well as in Regrets In Jade Tones and Suspicions In Scarlet Repose. I also added new images to the opening page and the main fan fiction page. In addition, I added a left border of images on some of the pages in all of The Color of Love Series books. See Chapters 1 and 10 of Suspicions, for example. Let me know if the image border slows down the loading of the page to the point of annoyance. Finally, I added images to the Reality Check associated with each story and moved each to a separate page to make it easier to simply click on the link to a chapter you are interested in without having to scroll through what in some cases is a rather long discussion about OLTL and my views. I've updated the Reality Check for Suspicions by the way.

I added a link to my Marcie & Al (MARCAL) website. Marcie & Al are my newest fav almost couple. I am currently writing a piece of fan fiction about MARCAL called The Tangerine Ball. If you like Marcie and Al and enjoy my writing, you may like that story as well. It's a short piece and is almost finished. Funny thing happened this week. I heard the news about RH leaving OLTL to join the cast of ATWT and my muse suddenly reappeared. Because of the major impact on T&B I guess she had been holding her breath waiting to see what was going to happen regarding RH's status with the show. My muse like me is an Unrepentant T&Ber and now we both know that T&B will NOT be, at least in the original form. BTW, I posted a new slideshow in the Love Has Been Rough On Me Suite C, The End of Everything. It actually deals with the lasted aborted T&B wedding but I guess it was more prophetic than I knew. Hey, but my muse and I are pragmatists and so having a definitive answer has been oddly liberating. I wish RH well. I'm strapped in and ready to see what happens next on OLTL. I am hoping for a great story for KDP and if they go in this direction I am more than willing to give a Todd recast a chance. I guess we'll all see what happens.

I don't know about you but I've stocked my pantry, pulled out extra blankets, got the kerosene lamps in place just in case, pulled out the portable oil heater, double-checked the firewood and made sure there is plenty of popcorn in house. So I was ready when the JG/MM STORM blew into to Llanview on Monday!!! I have my fingers crossed that indeed "the winds of change" are here and really good things are going to blow in for my beloved T&B and for the rest of Llanview as well.

Whew! From my perspective, it has been a busy posting day. Had a few days off for vacation but things pick back up after tomorrow so I tried to make the most of my time. Here's what's happening at The Inn:

Previously in The Sun Also Rises, the pressure of juggling so many secrets made Todd explode. Blair was able to hold her family together and put salve on the wounds but there was still a price to pay. Although it broke her heart, Blair agreed to let Sean return to Vicki's but she is determined not to abandon him. Todd has settled down and believes the worst is over. He has come to believe that secrets have a way of keeping their own counsel. What could possibly go wrong?

1st Chapter in the 4th Book in The Color of Love Series Posted:
I am finally posting the first chapter in the new color of love story, Suspicions In Scarlet Repose! The story picks up a short while after Dreams In Amber Refrains ended and there are one or two familiar faces. I'm afraid to exhale but things do appear to be getting better on OLTL. Compared to what has been going on for the last two years, this week's episodes have been stellar. Frank Valentini's name appeared in the credits as Executive Producer for the first time on Monday. The new writing regime officially begins airing it's stories on February 3rd but the canvas is obviously already being tweaked and things are beginning to look better. Still way too much Sam with his lips on Blair for me but at least T&B are talking and there is a rumble on the grapevine that Sam's days in the T&B storyline are numbered. I live and hope.

Previously in The Son Also Rises, Blair was able to convince Todd to let Sean stay with them for a while and she grew closer to Sean but Todd had other things to worry about. Ireland showed up on Todd's doorstep in the guise of Ethan Dawes. Now, Todd feels as if the secrets from Ireland are closing in on him from all sides. He is on edge. Suppose someone hurts his family? It turns out, if the danger comes, it may come from an unexpected source.

Link Reactivated and Chapter 9 of The Son Also Rises Posted:
Okay, I am once again working on TSAR! It's good to be able to say that. Over the last week or so I've revised the chapters already posted and made some changes. I've expanded the previous five chapters to eight chapters and moved scenes accordingly. New scenes were added to Chapters 3, 6 and 8. Chapter 9 represents the completely new chapter and takes up where the old Chapter 5 left off. If you read the original five chapters it is still probably worth skimming over Chapter 1-8 just to catch the new scenes. These chapters have also been posted at the Blair Firsters Board (see Links page for addy).

The Color of Love Series
I am also working again on the new story in The Color of Love Series. I've never been good at juggling multiple stories (I tend to work on one until I finish it). But several people have asked about the Red story and I want you to know that I have not abandoned it. Hopefully, the pieces will all fall into place as I finish up TSAR.

Everyone, I just wanted to tell you that I have had to suspend work on The Son Also Rises and I am not sure when I’ll be able to resume, if at all. I’ve deactivated the link since I assume that everyone who’s interested has already read the initial chapters and I don’t want to mislead new readers into expecting new chapters in the foreseeable future. Work on the new story in The Color of Love Series will also have to be put on hold. I hate to do this but it’s unavoidable. Thanks for reading my stories and I hope you will continue to enjoy Consequences, Regrets, Dreams and Poseidon Rising.

Chapters 3, 4 & 5 of The Son Also Rises Posted:
Previously on The Son Also Rises Todd decided he could not risk telling Blair the truth about Sean but the question is how long can he keep Blair in the dark? How would Blair react if she came face-to-face with Todd's first son? A draft of Chapter 3 was posted previously as part of the sneak preview. It has been modified slightly and some of the text moved to Chapter 4 and new text added. Chapter 5 is completely new.
New Slideshow Added:
On OLTL, Todd still has not offered Blair a sincere apology for the horrible DBL and the months of lying to her about Jack. At this point, Blair doesn't believe he is sorry and a heartfelt apology would go a long way toward knocking down the wall between them. The slideshow is called Cry and documents what Blair is thinking. It's in Suite C Love Has Been Rough On Me. As always, thanks, Aurorakz, for letting me use your beautiful Snappies.
Things behind the scene at OLTL seem to be interesting to say the least. So far November Sweeps have been boring, creepy and nonsensical. Days and days of Jenbot's wedding! Now it has been announced that Gary Tomlin, Executive Producer, has been replaced by Frank Valentini, effective immediately. I have no idea what this means for T&B. I do know I have not been a fan of GT's "vision" or of his "amazing" stories that, in my opinion, have been mostly contemptuous of and insulting to both Todd and Blair. As with the new writers, though, I'm taking a wait and see attitude about the new EP.

Chapters 1 & 2 of New Story Posted:
I've started posting a new Stand Alone piece that is called The Son Also Rises. If you read the sneak previews then you are already familiar with this work. Chapters 1 & 2 have been revised slightly but are essentially the same. I decided to start posting TSAR in a more formal manner, though, so it has its own main page now. The link can be found on the main fan fiction page in the Stand Alone Fan Fiction section. I hope you enjoy the story.
Not much to say about OLTL right now. The T&B storyline is frustrating as hell. Why are we still having Sam shoved down our throats? Why can't the writers allow Blair to see him for the self-serving leech he is? It's sweeps month and traditionally big things happen at this time of year but I have certainly learned from the past to keep my expectations realistic for OLTL, so I don't expect to see Blair freed from Sam Hell anytime soon. And since, personally, I don't care what happened to Joanna or whether Keri finds out what a truly creepy woman her mother is or whether Robot Jen will blow another circuit, I expect sweeps to be more of the same. Of course, that's just me. JG and MM officially came onboard November 4th so it will be interesting to see how they tweak the current stories. For the time being, I'm keeping HOPE alive but I'm not really watching the show.

Added Addendums to Regrets & Dreams:
Those of you who have read or who are reading Regrets in Jade Tones and Dreams In Amber Refrains in The Color of Love Series know that I created a version of Liz Reynolds for those stories. I find the Liz Reynolds currently appearing on OLTL so disturbing and her storyline so demeaning that I felt compelled to add a note to the main pages of both Regrets and Dreams emphasizing that the character on the show is nothing like the character I envisioned.

Added a New Slideshow:
I felt like taking a walk down memory lane and when I viewed Aurorakz's beautiful snappies of Todd and Blair's first and second meeting at Rodi's I was inspired to create this show. Even all of these years later looking at the scene still brings a smile to my face. Todd and Blair had so much chemistry that after the first meeting I immediately became a sucker for them. After all of the ups and downs and downright hell T&B fans have endured over the years, sometimes it's good to remember how it all started and why we got so hooked on them in the first place. The slideshow is called I Belong To You and documents what Todd was thinking. It is in Suite B Dreams Spun In Gold. As always, thanks, Aurora and Aipar, for letting me use your beautiful snappies.
A Sneak Preview of a New Story:
There is a possibility that things may be looking up soon on OLTL. New writers are set to begin on November 4 and the new head of ABC daytime seems to be making definitive steps to improve the show. I have my fingers crossed that things will indeed improve for the whole show and, of course, for my beloved T&B. At the moment, however, Blair is being sucked into Sam hell and it is too painful for me to watch. Still there is at least the possibility of HOPE for T&B. In this atmosphere, my muse is biting at the bit to write but real life continues to dog my every move. I've started a new story but it will be slow going for a while. I posted a hint of things to come in the Stand Alone section on the Fan Fiction Page. I hope you enjoy it.

Added a New Slideshow:
The island storyline is finally supposed to come to an end next week and spoilers indicate that Todd admits to Tea that he is in love with Blair then leaves the island to head back to Llanview. The new slideshow is my version of what Todd has been thinking all along on the island. He never stopped loving Blair even for a minute and everything he has done has been about trying to find a way to get back to her. The slideshow is called Love Forever and is in Suite B Dreams Spun In Gold.

My Muse Has Been Rejuvenated:
The soap press has announced that Roger Howarth is returning to the role of Todd Manning on OLTL this fall. Even though the horrible island crap is still going on as I write this, it is supposed to end soon and Todd is heading back to Llanview. I'm happy and optimistic about T&B. I have no illusions that things will be easy for them but with RH back there is hope that as Kammi said, TPTB will "rebuild, repair and redeem T&B." So my muse is doing the happy dance. What can I say? I'm an unrepentant T&Ber. The four stories currently on this site all make the argument that with care and love T&B can deal with the fallout from the DBL and move past it. I still believe that and hope to see a positive version of T&B's storyline play out on my screen. In any case, I'm working on a new story in the Color of Love Series (the next color is RED) but real life is wicked busy so it will be a good while before I begin to post it.

Due to an unfortunate error several Guest Book entries were erased a while
ago. I really do appreciate you
comments and was very sorry some of the messages were erased.
Although I could not restore all of the messages, I have reentered those
messages I had a copy of exactly as they were originally submitted and included
the original date of the entry. The
problem with the guest book has been corrected and I hope those of you who want
to do so will sign it and let me know what you think of the site.
