Blair is devastated when the baby lie is revealed. Her trust and faith in Todd is shattered. Her dream of the perfect family and a house with a white picket fence has once again been snatched out of her reach. She has to find a way to deal with her grief and her anger. Her solution is at once both logical and heart wrenching. Will she ever be able to find a way to forgive Todd?
Reality Check
In January 2002, I was frustrated by the continuing dead baby lie. Blair and Todd remarried on December 6, 2001 and he presented the baby to her as a "gift." But Todd continued to spin lies about the baby’s true identity. I wanted the lie to come out so that the T&B story could move forward but unfortunately in January the lie was still wrecking havoc on the storyline. I wrote this story to make the argument that it was possible to have T&B face the devastating consequences of the lie and eventually find some peace. This is my version of what could have happened and does not reflect anything that really happened on the show after the third wedding. This story was originally posted between January 5-January 10, 2002.
